Borg Ista is where our private island is located. If you're staying with us, you will fly in at Ista Weyr. Don't worry you don't have to drive to Borg Ista! You get to fly a dragon there! Pern is a huge planet to explore. If you would like to see other islands just ask us at the hotel! We have jet dragons that will fly you across Pern anywhere you would like!
What is Pern you ask? Pern is a planet that orbits the Red Star. Pern consist of three continents, four major oceans, and a large number of islands. Pern has high incidence of cave systems. The weather is usually about 78°F so bring a jacket because at night it gets down to about 67°F.
We are not responsible for the dangers of Pern for they are natural and we cannot control it. The dangers are thread. Thread doesn't come to our island but if you fly to other islands and a thread attack happens, you're at a serious risk of death. Don't worry though they happen every 200 years or so. Nobody has ever fallen off a dragon because we have high tech seat belts. We are not responsible for you taking your seat belt off. Earthquakes hardly happen because our island is shock-proof.
